On this tour, we visit two sake breweries in one day, either in Tama area or Ashigara area near Tokyo.
We leave Tokyo or Shinjuku station in the morning.
It takes about an hour and a half by train to get to the first brewery.
We eat lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the second brewery.
At each brewery, we take a look at the sake production process and enjoy sake tasting.
We will be back to Tokyo or Shinjuku in the evening.

Ishikawa Sake Brewery
- The Ishikawa Sake Brewery was founded near the Tamagawa river in 1863.
-The Brewery has been transferred current location, Fussa City in 1880.
- The brand "Tamajiman" has been in operation for more than 150 years.
- The Brewery also brews crafted beer at the same location. Their history of brewing beer went back to 1887.
Ozawa Sake Brewery
- The Ozawa Sake Brewery was established in 1702.
- Sawanoi, which is the Brewery's brand, has more than 300 years of history of making sake.
- There is a beautiful garden with spectacular views of mountains and the Mitaka valley in Okutama area.
- Kikizake (Sake tasting), 10 different varieties of Sake, is available with a charge.
Inoue Sake Brewery
- The Inoue Sake Brewery was established in 1789.
- The Brewery owes its start to a single sake bottle-shaped stone which the sixth generation Yoshichi Inoue stumbled over and that inspired him to launch the brewery.
- The famed brand, "Hakone-yama" was registered as a trademark in 1967 for exportation to Europe.
Nakazawa Sake Brewery
- The Nakazawa Sake Brewery was established in 1825.
- This brewery has been run by a continuous line of 11 generations.
- The brand "Matsumidori" was given by the landlord of Odawara during the Edo era.
- The Sake is made with a large amount of good quality underground water from Tanzawa mountains.
